The Queen And King

Willem-Alexander and Máxima Zorreguieta first met in 1999 before Willem was king. She later became part of the Netherlands royal family when they got married in 2002. The couple was then blessed with three beautiful daughters; Princess Ariane, Princess Alexi and the Princess of Orange, Princess Catharina.

Who Is Queen Maxima?

The queen was born on 17 May 1971 in Buenos Aires, Argentina to Jorge Zorreguieta and María del Carmen Cerruti Carricart. By 1995, she had graduated with a degree in economics and later went on to pursue her masters in the US. Between then and July 1999 she worked as the vice president of institutional sales for Latin America at HSBC James Capel Inc. in New York City.

That same year, Máxima and Willem-Alexander met in Spain. He introduced himself only as Alexander so as to withhold his royal heritage. They agreed to meet in New York later where Alexander told her that he was a crown prince. Their relationship blossomed from there and they later got married.
